News 360: Gowda presents Rail bduget, 58 new trains, focus on safety

In the maiden Railway Budget of the Narendra Modi government, Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday promised to revamp the railways and cut down on populism. Gowda said the Cabinet has been asked to clear Foreign Direct Investment in railway infrastructure and new projects should be explored through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) route to meet the resource crunch.
