It was stormy session in Parliament as the Lok Sabha debated and passed the J&K reservation bill and extended President's rule in the state. In his first speech in the 17th Lok Sabha Home Minister Amit Shah laid out the government's Kashmir agenda and rained fire on the Congress for the problems in the state. Shah blamed India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for the spread of terror in the state, saying his failure to unite the country post-independence has led to the loss of thousands of lives and destabilised the region. Elaborating his Kashmir blueprint, Amit Shah asserted that the crackdown on terrorists will continue.
