It started with MLAs in hotels - it moved to the streets - then the state assembly - then to Parliament The political thriller of Karnataka today landed in court - the Speaker moved the Supreme Court seeking more time to decide on the resignation of rebel Congress-JDS MLAs - in a clear tactic to buy time for the state government. But - in a major blow to the Kumaraswamy government - the apex court refused to grant any urgent hearing - the 10 rebel Congress-JD(S) MLAs have been ordered to appear before the Speaker and submit their resignations in person - that meeting will take place shortly as 6 MLAs have landed in Bengaluru so far. The top court has also directed the Speaker to take a final call on the issue by today itself and will hear the matter again tomorrow - the Speaker has been allowed to submit his arguments in tomorrow's hearing. 16 MLAs have rebelled against the state government - Is it just a matter of time for the Karnataka House of Cards to collapse?
