Washington: US President Barack Obama on Friday met with Navy Seals, who carried out the successful operation that took out al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Al-qaeda has formally announced that their top leader was indeed killed during the raid and would take solid revenge against the US. Obama and US vice president Joe Biden got a first hand account of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. It happened in a private meeting with the elite American warriors who carried out the orders. It was a chance to say on behalf of Americans and people around the world - job well done. In recognition of their extraordinary service and achievement, SEAL team of six, who conducted the raid were awarded a presidential unit citation. It is the highest honor a unit can get. Obama also praised military as a whole. "You just are amazing. I'm in awe of the job you do," said Obama. "These Americans deserve credit for one of the greatest intelligence, military operations in our nation's history, but so does every person who wears America's uniform," Obama added. Speaking to the troops at fort Campbell, Kentucky, home to the group that operated the helicopters used in bin Laden raid. Barack Obama promised victory over al Qaeda. Obama also reiterated his commitment to start drawing down US forces from Afghanistan by this summer. As the US president thanked them, the intelligence team are digging through a treasure trove of information the SEALs gathered from the Osama’s compound. One plot idea already uncovered involves targeting US railways on the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
