New Delhi: By the year 2020, your domestic help would be a robot, claim Korean scientists. Alarmed by the sharp rise in robot numbers - the Korean government plans to make laws for them. 
 
The laws will protect humans from harm and robots from abuse. With this decision, one can see yet another example of science fiction becoming science fact - science fiction because author Isaac Asimov proposed robotic laws more than 60 years ago. 
 
"The government is establishing an ethical code for robots and robot users and manufacturers, and will seek for national consensus and define the technical and ethical limit for developing robots," says Shim Hak-Bong of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. 
 
Opponents of these laws claim they could hamper the development of advanced robots in the future. 
 
However, in a nation that splurges $ 80 million annually on robotic research and for a people addicted to what still are just cute gadgets - robotic laws could be vital to keep peace between man and machine.
