Gwalior: A probe team has now reached Scindia School in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh after a class IX student was allegedly ragged. The student, son of a Bihar minister, has been battling for his life in a Delhi hospital ans is still on a life support system.
The family has said that the boy was ragged in school which led to this condition. The family has also accused the school of not informing authorities or his local guardian on time.
Vinod Kumar, a family friend, said, "While returning from dinner, he was called by the seniors. When the rest returned, they found him unconscious. The school did not inform the local guardian also."
The Gwalior police has taken a suo moto cognizance of the case and an inquiry has already been ordered. Meanwhile, the police have said it was prima facie a case of ragging. A forensic team reached the school and has begun investigations.
Santosh Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, said, "We are gathering details from eyewitnesses. We will establish the sequence of events soo."
The school management has said that the boy reportedly fell unconscious and had to be hospitalised.
