Mumbai: The showbiz calendar may be blocked with big Diwali releases from Bollywood but theatre too has its show-stopping moments.
Shiamak Davar, who has trained students in contemporary dance for many years now, has returned to the stage with a brand new musical titled I Believe.
The musical which opens this weekend in Mumbai promises to enthrall the audience.
Even if you can't match steps with the 300-odd dancers on stage, there are quite a lot of reasons why it will be worth a watch.
Choreographer, Shiamak Davar says, “Let me have a nice musical that makes people happy. There are songs that they know. There's Justin Timberlake, there's Hollywood, there's Bollywood, there's slow songs, love songs and there’s old fashioned songs. Then there’s my contemporary dance movement.”
Now this definitely comes across as music to the ears, especially after having had enough of Bollywood and its over-hyped releases.
So if you're in the mood for some high energy stage drama and you need something to step up the weekend, this just might prove to be your escape plan.
The musical will play in Mumbai till 18th November.
