Sonu Nigam: Raju Hirani is the Reason Why Sanju is Getting All the Praises

Jun 27, 2018 07:46 PM IST India India

Sonu Nigam is that one name in the music industry who has catered to people of all ages, with his versatility and experience in Bollywood. In an exclusive interview with News18.com, Sonu spoke about his upcoming song from the Sanjay Dutt biopic 'Sanju', that has already been getting attention from every corner. His song, 'Badhiya Hai', has garnered over 30 million views on YouTube, even before the release of the film. "Raju Hirani is the reason why the movie and the song is getting so much love because Raju always thinks differently. When I heard the song, I thought he is joking. I said, "Are you sure this song is going to be for Sanju?", Sonu said. While also talking about coping up with the digital trend in the music business, Sonu said things have changed from his times to now. "Now you get paid even if you're funny and sometimes you are good and you make a great song, you make a great video of it but since there is nothing to laugh about it or interesting about it or controversial about it or howlarious about it, the songs don't register in the people's mind. So that's how the music business has changed.," he believes. Watch this interview to see a glimpse of him singing the 'Badhiya Hai' song from 'Sanju'.
