'Chennai Express': Vishal-Shekhar upset with SRK over 'Lungi dance'?

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's 'Lungi dance' may well be the talk of the B-town, but the song has led to tensions with the team of 'Chennai Express'. There seems to be a controversy surrounding the song and as a result, the music composers of 'Chennai Express' Vishal-Shekhar are keeping away from its promotions.

'Chennai Express' is one of the most awaited films of the year as it is Shah Rukh Khan's first film with director Rohit Shetty, known for delivering big budget hits. With its music release, rumours of SRK not being happy with its song list started doing the rounds, but the film's music directors dismissed it initially.

"When a film comes, all kind of news comes out, people talk things you don't know. Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan are happy with it," music composer Shekhar Ravijani had said.

Then came the news of controversial desi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh having been roped in to compose a promotional song for the movie.

Strangely, the music director duo had no clue about this one and they were kept in the dark about Honey Singh's involvement. No wonder, Vishal Dadlani took to Twitter to dismiss the news back then but without naming the rapper. "It's hilarious and pathetic how desperately this tacky rape-rapper is trying to ride on the fame of SRK and Chennai Express (sic)," he had said in his tweet.

To their horror, the news was true and the song is called 'Lungi Dance'. Feeling cheated, the music director duo is now keeping away from the film's promotions. In fact, when Shah Rukh Khan came on the sets of reality show Indian Idol Junior to promote the film, Vishal-Shekhar, who are regular judges on the show, were missing in action.
