Class 8 student sets himself on fire at Faridabad school, sustains 45 per cent burn injuries

Faridabad: A class eighth student set himself on fire at a Faridabad school on Wednesday morning. The teenager has been rushed to the Safdarjung hospital. The teenager who set himself on fire inside the school premises has sustained 45 per cent burn injuries.

Reports suggest that the student had carried petrol in his water bottle to school. "The child had pre-planned the suicide attempt all along," said a school authority in a statement.

The teenager is right now in the critical care unit of the Safdarjung hospital. The doctors have kept the child under observation. The victim is not in a position to give a statement as of now. Thus, the real reason behind the suicide attempt is still unknown.
