Manohar Lal Khattar government’s diktat to Muslims, asking them to pray in mosques and not on public land has stirred a controversy as it is being seen as an attack on religious freedom. Locals says Namaaz has been offered here for years, and never has there been any issue, but minister Anil Vij calls it a clear attempt of encroachment. Article 25 to 28 gives us the freedom to practice our religion, but there is also the issue of other citizens’ right to that property. Where to draw the line? Watch the big debate.
