Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday presented the Economic Survey 2022-23, the report card of India’s economy, in Parliament. According to the Economic Survey 2022-23, India’s real GDP growth for the next financial year FY24 is pegged at 6-6.8 per cent.

More than half the households expect a decline in their income the current financial year, as compared to the previous fiscal. Most are looking for a respite in the coming budget as they stare at uncertainty when it comes to their earnings and savings, as per a survey.

Dr Neerja Birla, founder and chairperson, Mpower and Aditya Birla Education Trust, says, the cost is the tip of the iceberg. “Mental-health issues do not go away with one or two sessions. At Rs 1,000-1,500 per session, an average person cannot afford 10-20 sessions that are required to put him or her firmly on the path of recovery.”
