New Delhi: It’s been 20 years since the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in Ukraine on April 26, 1986. The world’s worst nuclear accident was marked on Wednesday by a candlelight vigil near Chernobyl. 
 
And two decades later people of Ukraine are finally moving on. A video game based on the Chernobyl Disaster, aptly called Shadow of Chernobyl has been developed. 
 
Created by a Ukrainian company GMC Gameworld, the video game has Chernobyl nuclear accident as it’s central theme. 
 
The plot centres around its hero trying to survive the Chernobyl zone. The game uses footage from Chernobyl, taken after the accident. 
 
 
The makers defend the game, which some say is in poor taste especially as Ukraine marks the 20th anniversary of the accident. 
 
"We had an ethical issue. We all were affected by that tragedy. So, we asked ourselves if we had the right to create a game out of it. But we decided that it is history. World War Two happened, and it was an even bigger tragedy but see a number of games based on it," says Andrew Prokhov of GMC Gameworld
