Today Delhi’s premier medical institute AIIMS was in the news for one man - Lalu Prasad Yadav. The doctors at AIIMS said that the RJD supremo’s health had improved significantly and he was fit to travel by train to Ranchi. But to Lalu and his family, the decision to discharge him was sudden and unfair. Alleging a political conspiracy, Lalu claimed that an under pressure AIIMS was putting his ill health at stake. The news of Lalu's discharge did not go down well with his supporters, who created a ruckus inside the hospital premises and allegedly vandalised property and abused security guards and administration officials. AIIMS has filed a police complaint over the misbehaviour. Questions are being raised about whether the drama at AIIMS today is a reflection of a sense of entitlement on Lalu's part, or is he a victim of vendetta politics?
