It is not just the united opposition that is putting pressure on the BJP, it's also the party's own allies. Nitish Kumar's JDU is not backing down from its tussle with the BJP over who should be the face of NDA's campaign in Bihar for the 2019 elections. In Maharashtra, Shiv Sena has been sulking for a while now and the two parties decided to fight against each other in the recent Palghar bypolls. Now, the BJP is reaching out, with party boss Amit Shah set to travel to Mumbai to meet Uddhav Thackeray. Amit Shah will also go to Punjab to meet Akali supremo Parkash Singh Badal. With Shah travelling the length and breadth of the country to reach out to allies, is the BJP ready to shed its big brother image?
