Nikah halala is when a divorced woman is forced to marry another man and have sexual intercourse with him if she has to remarry her first husband. First the woman is abandoned by her husband and when he changes his mind and decides that he wants her back, it's again the woman who has to go through a humiliating experience. Marrying another man and forced to consummate the marriage with him. This is what one woman is fighting against. Meet Sameena Begum, a Muslim woman who has filed a petition in the Supreme Court, seeking a ban on nikah halala.
