The RSS and its organisations have started a pro-NRC drive in all Bengal districts near the Bangladesh border. Door-to-door campaigns aimed at convincing people about the perils of what the RSS describes as non-stop infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims into the state. The BJP has already reignited the NRC debate after party President Amit Shah compared Bangladeshi migrants to termites. This double offensive by the BJP and the RSS is making Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee see red all over again. Banerjee had warned of a civil war when the BJP made a demand for conducting an Assam-like NRC in Bengal. But tonight on Epicentre, we're asking if her objection to the NRC is unwarranted?
