The Coronavirus cases in India have crossed the 1-lakh mark, as the country enters the phase four of the nationwide lockdown. The COVID-19 death toll in the country crossed 3,000. The CEO of Niti Aayog, Amitabh Kant tweeted that the fatality rate in India is low and the recovery rate is high. At present, the COVID-19 fatality rate in India is at 3.07%, which is half of the global average. The COVID-19 fatality rate across the world is at 6.57% and the worst-hit country, the U.S. has a fatality rate at 6%.
