First time in its history, RBI stated that India has entered a ‘technical recession’ in the first half of 2020-21. Technical recession refers to when a country faces economic contraction for two quarters in a row. However, the FM Nirmala Sitharaman defended the negative and growth and stated that the mood in the market is now upbeat. This will aid in stimulating Q3 and Q4.
