Myanmar Coup: Thousands Of Pro-democracy Protesters Hit The Streets Demanding Release Of Suu Kyi

Tens of thousands of people marched across Myanmar in protest against the military coup. Chants to free pro-democracy leader Suu Kyi and to end military dictatorship were echoed in the streets. Myanmar’s politician Aung San Suu Kyi was detained on February 1 soon after the military took over. Crowds in Yangon, carried red balloons, wore red clothes, colour representing Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy Party.
