Supreme Court Upholds UGC Directive To Not Give Degrees Without Final Year Exams

The Supreme Court has rejected a petition for scrapping online or offline university exams due to COVID-19 pandemic. The top court said that the examinations will be held as directed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The apex court said that the states can approach UGC if they wish to postpone the date of the examinations beyond the September 30 deadline.
