New Delhi: The ruling party Bhartiya Janata Party is the flavour of the season. It seems everybody wants to be with it. The list of the people jockeying to join the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP is getting bigger every day. After former AAP leader Shazia Ilmi, famous film star Jayaprada and India's first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi, it is now the turn of politician for all seasons Amar Singh to knock at the doors of Saffron party. Both Jayaprada and Kiran Bedi are likely to join the BJP soon.

Amar Singh, one time 'mover and shaker' of national politics is now struggling to remain relevant in the public life. After he was thrown out of the Samajwadi Party led by Mulayam Singh Yadav, Amar Singh has failed to get even re-nominated to the Rajya Sabha. He also miserably lost the last Lok Sabha election on Ajit Singh led RLD ticket.

He has now confirmed that he is eager to join the BJP. He said "I am in touch with the BJP. I have met RSS, but no response so far. I can join the BJP. I am not averse to it. Modi has inclusive politics".

If his close friend Jayaprada joins the BJP, it may speed up his entry into the saffron party. But, majority in the BJP are opposing his entry given his background and the baggage he carries.

But, Amar Singh is trying his best to secure an entry into the party, which he once called 'the most communal' one.
