Congress Leader Sajjan Kumar Gets Life Term in 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots Case: Sunil Jakhar Says Nobody is Above Law

The Delhi High Court on Monday reversed the acquittal of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case and sentenced him to life imprisonment for criminal conspiracy to commit murder. A bench of justices S Muralidhar and Vinod Goel also convicted Kumar for the offences of abetment, delivering speeches instigating violence against Sikhs and disrupting communal harmony, saying "truth will prevail and justice will be done". While speaking to News18.com, Sunil Jakhar said that Congree Party has always maintained that anybody involved in such a heinous crime should be face the law.
