New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party who has consistently criticised the Congress for dynasty politics seems no different as the family members of top BJP leaders were given tickets to contest the Lok Sabha polls.
Late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's daughter Poonam has been given the ticket for Mumbai North Central. Yashwant Sinha's son Jayant will contest the Hazaribagh seat in Jharkhand. BJP President Rajnath Singh's son Pankaj will also contest the Lok Sabha elections.
The Congress is also living up to its reputation. Karnataka Minister S Shivashankarappa's son S Mallikarjuna will contest from Davangere. The daughter in-law of late Union minister Sis Ram Ola, Rajbala Ola, has been fielded from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's wife Pratibha Singh will contest from Mandi.
Even Finance Minister P Chidambaram was keen on fielding his son Karti Chidambaram and preferred Rajya Sabha route for himself.
