New Delhi: As questions are being raised whether the Congress will continue its support to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi during the confidence motion in the Assembly on Thursday or not, Congress MLA Haroon Yusuf said that his party's support to the Kejriwal government is on. "The Congress has not issued any whip, there is no decision by the Congress Legislative Party. The Congress leadership has already said they are backing AAP," Yusuf said.

He also added that the all the Congress MLAs will be present in the Assembly during the confidence motion.

AAP which had a spectacular debut in the recently concluded Assembly elections winning 28 seats in the 70-member House had formed the government on December 23. The Congress is extending outside support to the government.

However, the continuity of the AAP government largely depends on the support of the Congress party. The party which agreed to give unconditional support to the AAP later backtracked saying it's support is not an unconditional one, and it is just an outside support.

"Support to AAP is conditional. We will support them as long as they are true to their manifesto. If an ordinance or law is brought that is not in the interest of the people, we will not support it," said Congress MLA Hashim Mohmmad.
