New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming 2014 Lok Sabha elections, senior Bharatiya Janata Party BJP leader Jaswant Singh has said that he will not contest from the Darjeeling seat anymore.

Speaking to CNN-IBN, Singh said that he would like to contest the next Lok Sabha elections from his native town Barmer in Rajasthan. "It has been a pleasure to contest from Darjeeling but this will be my last election so I want to go back to my hometown," he said.

He also brushed aside the speculations that that senior leaders like him and LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi may not be allowed to contest elections. "There is no bar on old guard contesting on BJP ticket," he said.
