New Delhi: The Congress has intensified its attack on top BJP leaders over Nira Radia issue. Party spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed has repeated that the BJP should explain corporate lobbyist Nira Radia's links with senior leaders Ananth Kumar, L K Advani and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Speaking on 2G and Nira Radia tapes, Ahmad said, "Ananth Kumar is not visible on the issue is clear that he is hiding something. Why is he silent? He should come out and speak that he is innocent, he is silent because he knows what the Congress is saying is correct. It is clear that during the Vasant Kunj temple land deal, Advaniji was there … so what the Congress claims that, he had contacts with Nira RAdia - if not him, his close associate - is associated with her." Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi questioned as to why was Nira Radia's trust given land in Vasant Kunj during BJP's regime in 2002. Arun Jaitley, "I am not getting into any issue which is extraneous to this controversy - you have made an allegation of unethical conduct in this." Now the fear is that, the war of words effectively ends all hopes of a compromise on the 2G issue between the Congress and the BJP and puts a question mark over the Budget Session of Parliament.
