New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal plans to hold a 10-day long agitation against the Delhi Police despite Republic Day celebrations. "I have planned a 10 day dharna & if it causes any hindrances to the Republic Day event then we are not responsible, the Home Min, Delhi Police & the PM would be accountable. We cannot consider Jan 26 as Republic Day when women are unsafe in our country," he said.
Home Ministry sources inform that Kejriwal has been asked to move his dharna to Jantar Mantar. Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has slammed the protest asking Kejriwal to maintain the dignity of Chief Minister's office.
Delhi Minister Somnath Bharti told CNN-IBN that the protest will not be moved to Jantar Mantar.
If the protests cause any hindrances to the Republic Day event then we are not responsible, the Home Min, Delhi Police & the PM would be accountable, said Kejriwal.
