New Delhi: There was high drama in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday morning with the Bahujan Samaj Party slamming the Uttar Pradesh government over the law and order situation in the state. The BSP MPs eventually walked out of the House over the issue.
Earlier on Tuesday, BSP MPs charged to the well of the House, raising slogans against UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's government. BSP chief Mayawati demanded the dismissal of the UP government.
The UP government has been facing severe criticism after two minor girls were found hanging on a tree in Badaun after being allegedly gangraped.
"There's no law and order in UP. It's very chaotic. Incidents like Badaun are proof of how bad things are in UP. The situation in the state is really terrible," Mayawati said.
