India coach Sjoerd Marijne spoke to CNN-News18's Saikat Ghosh after returning from the Asia Cup in Bangladesh. Excerpts:
On missing penalty corners
For instance against Bangladesh, they were really good. They closed down all the angles. So converting them is not always easy. In some of the Penalty Corners, the injection was not good, in some trappings were not good. So it's a team thing and we know we have to improve.
On Sardar Singh
About the future of Sardar Singh.... I can't say anything. In this tournament we observed how we can use his potential.
On unceremonious sackings of India coaches
No, I never feel insecure. I never feel the pressure of getting sacked because that would be the biggest pressure I would be putting on myself. So I am not busy with those things.
On team performance
I was happy the players were taking responsibility, there was leadership in the group and I really enjoyed that.
