Images of endangered animals projected onto the iconic Empire State Building

Endangered animals took over the Empire State Building on Saturday night as their images were projected onto the iconic landmark to draw attention to their rapid mass extinction. The reported first-of-its-kind live video projection was put on by the Oceanic Preservation Society, in collaboration with the Discovery channel. According to the OPS facebook page, it was organized in memory of Cecil the lion, killed in an illegal hunt in Zimbabwe and to promote the upcoming documentary 'Racing extinction'.
