The Ukrainian military claims that some Russian troops are withdrawing from their positions in the southern region of Zaporizhzhia. Kyiv also says that the Russians are preparing the evacuation of "the personnel of the occupation administrations" in the region. Ukraine’s General Staff also said that Russian units continued to shell several settlements in the recently liberated parts of Kherson region. Zelensky marked the 31st anniversary of the referendum unifying Ukrainian regions after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Ukraine’s General Staff claims that Russian bombers with nuclear capabilities were seen flying near the Ukrainian border. Ukrainian Presidential adviser Mikhail Podoliak claims that his country has lost 13,000 soldiers in the war against Russia. US President Joe Biden said "there's one way for this war to end," which is for Putin to pull his troops "out of Ukraine". Polish Envoy to the US, Marek Magierowski, claims that the harsh winter will be another test of unity of cohesion of all EU countries.
