Ukraine "Preparing Counteroffensive", Russia Nearing Bakhmut Capture, First Polish MiG-29s Arrive

A car was reportedly blown up in the Russian-occupied city of Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, on April 3, injuring a pro-Moscow official. Ukraine said that Russian forces were "very far" from capturing the eastern town of Bakhmut. However, the Kremlin-installed head of Donetsk claims Russian forces have come very close to the railroad station in Bakhmut. Meanwhile, reports claim a Pantsir S-1 anti-aircraft missile system has allegedly been placed near Putin's Sochi residence. Ukrainian President Zelensky said that he hoped Putin would spend the rest of his life in a dark basement with a bucket. Poland has transferred the first batch of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
