13 Years of  Ram Charan’s ‘Magadheera’

 Released in 2009, ‘Magadheera’ is a fantasy action drama by filmmaker SS Rajamouli who co-wrote the film along with his writer father KV Vijayendra Prasad.

The movie stars Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal among others. 

Ram Charan’s father, Chiranjeevi made a cameo appearance in the film.

 Made on a budget of Rs 35 to rs 44 crore, it was the most expensive Telugu film at  the time. 

The movie collected  a distributors’ share of  Rs 73.6 crores and  became the highest-grossing Telugu film  in history at the time.

Its 1000-day theatrical run surpassed 2005 movie ‘Chandramukhi’ as the  longest-running  South Indian film.

Magadheera was screened for over 142 weeks.

The film won the National Award for Best Choreography and Best Special Effects at the 57th National Film Awards.
